Autumn

Writer's picture: cocospreschoolcocospreschool

Children love this time of year, from watching the colours change to playing in the fallen leaves.

Autumn is the season when warm summer temperatures gradually drop to the cold of winter and when hours of daylight are equal to the hours of darkness.

We start our Autumn week at Coco’s by learning about hedgehogs; from what they look like, to what they eat.

As the week continues, we will be talking about leaves, and how they fall from trees this time of year, we will also be making autumn trees and pretty leaf suncatchers.

When you're out and about with your children take time to show them all of nature's seeds; acorns, chestnuts, conkers, beech nuts and such like.
